Just Call me Blogball the Arteest

WE HAVE A WINNER (SEE COMMENTS)

Because I can’t draw or paint when I have a certain idea or image in my mind for the No Agenda Zone I have to resort to cutting, pasting, tweaking, etc. a bunch of images together to create one illustration. Then I saw some abstract paintings on display and said to myself “hey now this is more up my alley"

Four (4) of these paintings below are legitimate modern/ abstract art pieces the other four (4) are the works by the new, up & coming abstract artist Blogball. Can you spot the legit ones?

The winner will receive a signed & numbered lithograph of one of Blogball's works.

By the way one of these paintings below just sold for 140 Million Dollars. I’m not kidding you.

i'll take a stab -- i'd say 1, 2, 5, & 7 are "the-already-famous-in-the-blog-world" blogball's pieces.

btw, i have no concept of modern art. (you might think i'm trying to pre-excuse myself if i really show my ignorance -- you are probably right!) :)

Thanks for playing si. It's early in the game so I won't tell you which ones were correct.

Please play again.

Remember we are looking for the ones that are already famous.

I'm guessing 2,3,4 and 6 for the "already-famous."

Ok, my pre-comment-review guess was that 2,3,4 and 6 were the works done by artists other than BlogBall. Given that my numbers appear to match the non-signed-lithograph-winning unca's, I'm not as confident as I might have been...

Thanks for playing everybody!

The two artists that represented the famous paintings are Julian Stanczak (Paintings number 3&5) & Jackson Pollock (Paintings number 4&6) 1,2,7& 8 are by Blogball the arteest.
Congratulations Preben & Ellen!
Painting # 4 by Jackson Pollock sold for 142.7 Million Dollars.

I originally posted 2 paintings that were imitations of Jackson Polllock so I pulled them.
I can’t believe I couldn’t spot a Pollock fake.

I also added a link to make your own Jackson Pollock Painting in the original post. Just click to change colors. Have fun

since i'm late in coming back, i'm confused. did the pictures get changed? and i was probably confused at the beginning too since i was guessing which were blogball's (i think -- i may also not follow directions very well...) this is not exactly a unique state of mind for me, being confused i mean! :(

Wow, that was a good quiz, blogball! I just happened on it now, but you got me, for sure. My guesses were the same as unca's. I actually DO like modern art -- I can imagine myself displaying (a copy of) #3, for instance. A LOT of what people love, that surely requires a lot more skill than modern art, is too "busy" for me and is not something I'd like in my house.

I think 2,5,6and 8 are already famous. Just instinct so I'm probably wrong.

This is anonymous again. It was very late when I entered my comment and I didn't realize until I read all the votes that the game is OVER. I'm glad I had to use anonymous to publish the above comment because entering a guessing contest when it's all done is a a fairly dumb thing to do. I might hold a contest now for viewers to guess my identity. Here's a hint: Mamacita

All of the incorrect guesses included number 2 !

Which was a Blogball the Arteest original.

For those who can’t understand modern or abstract art the inspiration for this painting was the Scarlet Letter. The red line representing the letter and the lines in front representing how imprisoned Hester Prynne (the main character) felt who gave birth after committing adultery and refused to name the father, and struggles to create a new life of repentance and dignity.

I know this was pretty obvious for many of you but I wanted to explain it to all those who are uneducated to this form of art.

P.S. I’m glad that when many of you looked at number 2 it didn’t look like a “number 2 “
