i'll be going to new orleans for a conference at the end of the month. they're asking us to bring school supplies to help out (aftermath of katrina). even tho i know that they very much need assistance back there, i do have to say that it does seem that kids/parents in this state have an inordinate amount of responsibility for funding things that i/we had taken for granted when we attended school...
also, i'm impressed with your visuals! they add a lot to your tales.
costs aside, do you have to hunt all this stuff down one by one? I would think that a local merchant could make some pretty good money by pre-packaging all of this stuff and selling it all together (even at a discount).

Unca, that’s a good idea. Each grade does have a different supply list so it would be a little difficult to coordinate the items. So I get to look forward to brand new list for 7th grade!!!
Yes Mamacita, most public school supply lists (that I know of) are pretty much like this one.
that is the most ridiculous list I've ever seen in my life (I've seen only a few, but still). I thought my kids had long lists. Theirs are just child's play.
