I saw this clip and heard them speculating about how you never really see the whole elephant---I guess the idea being that it could be fake. So...I dunno. It reminds me of a great kids book that I used to read my kids (from the first to the last kid) by Bill Peet: Ella. It's about an elephant who gets put in the zoo and is bored and discovers she can paint. I guess Ella came to life.
