I thought this was pretty incredible

This is a real picture of a real fly with real glasses. (Pretty sure non prescription)
Micreon, based in Hannover, Germany, created the fly's eyewear using ultrafast laser micro-machining. The firm notes on its Web site that the process can create objects with high precision at scales of less than a thousandth of a millimeter.

Do flies have money? How are they going to make a profit? Seriously, though, that's pretty crazy. I'm waiting for the GPS chip to install in my head so I don't get lost all the time. I hope they are working on that.

This is a great photo. Hard to believe. As a side note, I had a typing teacher who looked just like this.

don't flies have like a million eyes within an eye? seems like one pair of glasses won't do the job.

I thought about that same thing si.
I was going to make a joke if they were 3D glasses would that mean the fly would see in a million D? Then I thought some might not understand, So the 3D joke is for you and any other sophisticated person out there.

It’s good to see you commenting on blogs again. Where have you been?
