Yes, you're right -- definitely hard to look cool -- mostly because it looks like you're riding on a toy. Now, having said that, I'll add that I'd sure like to try one out!!
I thought they were supposed to be able to go about ten mph but I may be wrong. If not, I agree: walk unless you've got a physical problem of some kind. I think what makes this photo especially off-putting is the fact that he's also talking on a cell phone (loud, no doubt) so he's really go an air of self-importance about him.
